Question 1

What does the Mi-Lo Beacon do that the pendant does not?

Accepted Answer

The pendant provides outdoor GPS location. The Beacon improves indoor position tracking, helping identify a specific room such as a bedroom or front entrance, which GPS cannot pinpoint indoors.

Question 2

Does the Mi-Lo Beacon work on its own?

Accepted Answer

No. The Beacon is an accessory that pairs with the Mi-Lo Pendant. Together, they provide an indoor location tracker inside the home and GPS tracking outside.

Question 3

How is the Beacon installed?

Accepted Answer

It is a simple, self-install device. Place it in the room or area you want to designate, and it runs on battery power with low maintenance.

Question 4

How long does the Mi-Lo Beacon battery last?

Accepted Answer

The Mi-Lo Beacon is battery-powered and can last about a year before the battery needs to be changed, so it requires very little upkeep once it is set up.

Question 5

Does the Beacon have its own monthly fee?

Accepted Answer

No. The Beacon is a one-time purchase at CA$29.95. It works through the paired Mi-Lo Pendant, which uses an active monitoring plan (Family Monitoring at CA$50/month or 911 Monitoring at CA$60/month) to deliver alerts.
